The Good Life.

To wake up with this view.

I woke up at around 6 am, I think, facing coconut trees, vines, shrubs, all moist with morning dew.  I walked around to hopefully catch the peacocks go down the tree they all sleep on at night--they woke up before I did.

There was a pool with a miniature waterfall--the water was cold but I took a quick dip anyway.

The Farm's Sulu Terraces are their most "affordable" accommodations--still pretty pricey if you ask me, but I know sites like Groupon or Deal Grocer offer good deals on these every now and then. I feel like I should probably take solo retreats here every year. Also, this little cottage is a good peg for my future house.

And then, breakfast.

The manfriend and I had were booked at the Palmera suite.

But we actually spent more time at the Master Villa where the family was. The pool was gorgeous, too.

Thankful I got to spend some time here!

A Weekend At The Farm

I spent my Sunday and Monday with the manfriend and his sister's family at The Farm at San Benito.  It was beautiful and relaxing and I am moreso a happier person because of that trip.  It was my first time at that beautiful place and I'm pretty sure I'll be planning solo getaways here in the coming years.  I hope the photos manifest the beautiful weekend that was.

Alive! is the vegan restaurant inside The Farm.  I might've squealed when I saw the menu--I'm not used to having a lot of options on most menus. I could get used to eating here, if only it were any nearer. Non-vegetarians/vegans, do not fret, the food is actually really good--I was with seven non-vegetarians and we sure ate a lot. Please see a photographed index of what we ate below.

An advice: please do not skip the chocolate-based deserts! The chocolate ganache is stupendous.

Did I tell you about Pinkerton El Scorcho, my new baby pig? Here is the fearless little porker, feeling safe and rather brave at The Farm, with the peacocks.

More photos of the weekender tomorrow. :)

Bali Day 2: The Uluwatu Temple

The Pura Luhur Uluwatu temple is beautiful. "Luhur" translates to "something of divine origin" while "Uluwatu", can be broken down into "Ulu" which means "land's end" and "Watu", "rock".  Before stepping in the temple, our driver Wayan Andy warned us against wearing unnecessary accessories; monkeys are bound to take them and keep them. We were given sarongs to wear before entering the gate.

Bali has the most perfect weather--the most perfect conditions I've ever found myself in! It was sunny but there was always cool breeze.  If I could have this weather everyday...

And then there were cows.

One in particular, would not stop staring!

The Uluwatu Temple is located, well, at Uluwatu, Bali 80364, Indonesia.
