Process: Love is a Place

I was sifting through old photos this morning and I stumbled upon an album with process photos I took of a piece I did a couple of years ago for a group exhibit called 'Filibata Art Walk', curated by fantabulous Jason Moss. We were basically asked to choose amongst photos taken by 21 photographers, and to intertwine our illustrations with a photo.  A photo of a little girl in a makeshift styro raft spoke out to me, and so it began.  I've been meaning to do process posts for a long time now, since I love reading about how other illustrators achieve their pieces, so here's a quickie and rather instruction-less process post this fine, rainy morning.

This piece is called 'Love is a place'.
